EyeFit

What do we customise?

What do we customise? - Everything.

• Eye-Fit allows us to determine all your vital statistics allowing us to customise every part of the golf club to suit you and your game.

• We can also advise on the best head options for you, whether it be wide sole offset cavity heads or forged blades or even hybrid combo sets.

• Below are some of the factors that change the way you play and what we do to improve your play.

Shaft Flex and Kick Point

Shaft Flex and Kick Point

Shaft Flex

• The shaft in the engine of the golf club. To achieve optimum distance and accuracy, the shaft flex MUST be matched to the player's swing and clubhead speed.

• A shaft that is too stiff cannot achieve the player's optimum launch angle producing a low left to right trajectory, lack of distance and poor feel.

• A shaft that is too flexible will produce more variable distance and a loss of accuracy and control.

• Don't assume that all shaft rating are the same. A True Temper XL-90 Regular shaft has the same Recommended Swing Speed Range (RSSR) as a True Temper Gold Lite shaft in stiff!

Shaft Kick Point

• All shafts are rated not just by there flexibilty and speed range, but also by there flex points.

• If you have a problem getting the ball airbourne we can match your to a head and shaft with a lower kick point to help you achieve a higher ball flight.

• Alternatively a stronger player may want a driver matched to a shaft allowing him to produce an lower more penetrating flight (eg 653D Driver and an Aldila NV shaft)

Shaft Length & Lie Angle

Shaft Length

• Matching the club length to your height and finger tip to floor measurement will allow Snake Eyes to correctly fit the player to achieve more on-centre strikes.

• The correct club lenght will allow the player to swing naturally for better feel and consistency.

Lie Angle

• Along with shaft length - we may have to alter the lie angle of the club head.

• The lie angle of the club is crucial to accuracy. A club too upright will normally produce shots to the left while a club too flat will product shots to the right.

Grip Sizing

Grip Sizing

Your correct grip size

• The grip is the player's only point of contact with the golf club and so is of major importance to the feel and playabilty of the club.

• A grip thayt is too large creates tension in the arms and upper body restricting the correct hand action (release) resulting in an open face at impact.

• A grip thayt is too small can cause the player to grip too tightly again causing tension in the swing and may result in over-active hand action resulting in a closed club face.

• Snake Eyes Direct build all our clubs custom fit for our customers. Grip sizing is just one of the major factors we custom fit for you.
